Scouting Ledger LLC ("Scouting Ledger," "we," "us," or "our") is a Delaware limited liability company located at 1308 21st Street NW, Washington, DC 20036. We operate ScoutingLedger.com.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. It applies to ScoutingLedger.com and any related applications and services (the "Service").

Information you give us

• Account information — name, email address, password (stored hashed, never in plain text)
• Billing information — your billing name, billing address, and the last four digits and expiration date of your payment card. We do not collect or store your full payment card number. Payments are processed by Stripe, which receives your card details directly.
• Communications — messages you send us by email or support form
• Preferences — settings, saved views, teams or leagues you follow, and similar choices you make in the product

Information we collect automatically

• Usage data — pages viewed, features used, time spent, referring page, and actions taken in the product
• Device and connection data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and language
• Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 6

Information we do not collect

We do not collect your Social Security number, government ID number, or financial account numbers. We do not collect information about any wagers you place, because we do not accept wagers and are not party to any wagering transaction.

We use personal information to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Create and manage your account and authenticate you
• Process subscription payments and send billing notices, including renewal reminders
• Respond to your questions and provide support
• Send service-related messages such as security alerts and changes to our terms
• Send marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from at any time
• Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

These providers may access personal information only to perform services for us, and are contractually required to protect it.

We may also disclose personal information:

• To comply with law — in response to a subpoena, court order, or other lawful request
• To protect rights and safety — to enforce our Terms, investigate fraud, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Scouting Ledger, our users, or others
• In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Billing records are typically retained for seven years for tax purposes.

You may request deletion of your account at any time — see Section 8.

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Keep you signed in and maintain your session (strictly necessary — the Service will not function without these)
• Remember your preferences and settings
• Measure how the Service is used

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.

Do Not Track. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for responding to it, and we do not currently respond to those signals.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS across the site), hashed password storage, access controls, and use of a PCI-compliant payment processor so that card data never touches our servers.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Everyone, regardless of where you live, may:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information — most of it directly in your account settings
• Delete your account and associated personal information
• Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any marketing message. You will still receive transactional messages about your account and billing.
• Export your account data in a portable format

To exercise these rights, email support@scoutingledger.com. We will respond within 45 days and may need to verify your identity first.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident you have additional rights: to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to delete it; to correct it; to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; to limit use of sensitive personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA, and we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA.

In the twelve months preceding the date of this Policy, we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2 and disclosed them for the business purposes described in Section 4.

Other state privacy laws

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others — have similar rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising and sale. We honor these requests from all users regardless of residence. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response.

The Service is intended for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at the address above.

The Service is operated from the United States and intended for users in the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service before the change takes effect.
